Russian Tourist Visa Prices and Processing Times

There are two price groups and processing times for the Russian tourist visa. One is for students from EU countries, and the other for those students from non-EU countries.

The first is a group of European Union countries that reached an agreement with the Russian Federation on visa prices and processing times in 2007. Norway joined this agreement in December 2008.

Visa Prices and Processing Times for European Union (EU) Citizens: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Norway.

The cost of a single entry, tourist visa for those countries listed above is 65 EUR, and the processing time is a maximum of 7 working days. 

An option is Express Visa Processing (3 days), and the cost of this is 100 EUR.

Express Visa Processing is NOT the same as Early Visa Processing as mentioned below.

Express Visa Processing is ONLY available for European Union passport holders.

Visa Prices and Processing Times for all Non-EU Citizens: all others countries, also INCLUDING the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland – these two EU countries did not sign the agreement with the Russian Federation.

The cost of a single entry, tourist visa varies based on the nationality of the applicant. The costs vary from 65 EUR, up to 155 EUR. The costs of the Non-EU citizen’s tourist visas are updated on a bi-weekly basis, and can both increase and decrease. Thus, the final cost of your visa will not be exactly clear until the precise day that your paper work is taken in for processing.

The processing time for Non-EU citizen’s tourist visa is a maximum of 10 working days.

The exception to this is for students from the United States of America, Canada, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland:

The tourist visa processing time for citizens of these four countries is a maximum of 15 working days. 

We especially recommend that students from these four countries use the early visa processing option to ensure that their visas are processed on time for the trip departures.

There is NO “Express Visa Processing” option for Non-EU citizens.
